The majority of residents and visitors alike seem quite happy to be in Aruba. And why not? The island has some great beaches, enjoyable shopping, nice accommodations, and a relatively high standard of living. If you’re looking for a lush island, though, go elsewhere. Aruba is a generally dry, desert island. You might see a lizard lounging under a cactus. You definitely won’t see a rainforest.
